Derbyshire VCH has been involved in the Heritage Lottery funded project England's Past for Everyone (EPE). A book on Bolsover was published in the autumn of 2008. A second book, looking at the Hardwick estate, was published in December 2009. As part of this project material for schools was also prepared. We are currently actively researching and preparing text for inclusion in our first hardback book. This will concentrate on parishes in the Bolsover area, though research work is also being undertaken on other north-eastern Derbyshire parishes as well as parishes in the west of the county. In addition work has been undertaken on some southern Derbyshire parishes.
