Launch of 2nd EPE volume

Dr Janet Cooper, Chairman of VCH Herefordshire, welcomed Mr Lawrence Banks, representing the Lord Lieutenant of Herefordshire, to launch the second Ledbury England's Past for Everyone volume at a well-attended event in St Katherine's Hall, Ledbury on 28 April 2010.

The event was also attended by Prof. John Beckett, Director of the VCH, Dr Alan Thakcer and other members of the London offfice. Local support was given by representatives of Herefordshire Council, Heritage Services, Herefordshire Archaeology, Record Office and the Hereford Cathedral Library and many of the volunteers who participated in the project over the last four and a half years. Dr Sylvia Pinches thanked the volunteers and the others who had contributed chapters to the book - Dr Keith Ray and Dr Nigel Baker, both of Herefordshire Archaeology, and Dr Janet Cooper herself.
