Fundraising and the VCH Oxfordshire Trust
The VCH cannot continue without local fundraising. This is now more important than ever, since pressure on local government finance means that from April 2011 our core funding from Oxfordshire County Council will be very substantially reduced.
The VICTORIA HISTORY OF OXFORDSHIRE TRUST is an independent charitable body set up in 1998 to raise funds for the completion of the Victoria County History of Oxfordshire. It directly supports research and writing. Activities include
- applying to individuals, corporations, and charities for funds to support the Oxfordshire VCH
- organizing fundraising events
- holding events for donors, including an annual Christmas lecture and reception in Oxford
- producing a periodic Newsletter
- monitoring the VCH's work at regular Trust meetings
.
For information on the Trust and on how to donate, download a Gift Aid Form or contact the Treasurer, Mr Liam Tiller, at: East House, Rokemarsh, Wallingford, Oxon. OX10 6JB; telephone 01491 839618; email LiamTiller@waitrose.com .
