Support the VCH
The Wiltshire VCH Appeal Trust
The Wiltshire VCH Appeal Trust (Registered Charity No. 1102882) raises funds to support our work. Our patron is John Bush, the Lord Lieutenant of Wiltshire, and the trustees include county councillors and other people who are working to preserve heritage and publicise Wiltshire's knowledge of the county's history.
The Trust has played a key role in sustaining the Wiltshire VCH through some difficult times. It holds regular fund-raising events (such as the upcoming evening event at Oare House, in June 2008), and since 2004 it has contributed to our work in several ways by funding:
- Display panels for a travelling exhibition to publicise our work.
- A PhD studentship, currently held by Gill James, who is researching the history of the silk industry in south-west Wiltshire.
- Digitisation of some of our volumes on British History On-line; Wiltshire Vol IV will shortly be added to the site.
If you would like to make a donation or suggest a new source of funding, please contact Frank Marshall, Treasurer, Wiltshire V.C.H. Appeal Trust, Kennet District Council, Browfort, Devizes, SN10 2AT.
