England's Past for Everyone

England’s Past for Everyone was a local history project run by the Victoria County History between September 2005 and February 2010. Volunteers throughout the country worked alongside authors and researchers to produce a whole range of new resources. From a series of paperback books to learning resources for schools and an interactive web resource, the project’s mantra was ‘Bringing local history to life’.

The EPE project was supported by a £3.3 million grant from Heritage Lottery Fund, alongside match funding from other national and local partners and managed by a central support team based at the Victoria County History’s central office at the University of London.
