About VCH Derbyshire

Our first 'big red' book since the project's refounding - volume III - was published towards the end of 2013. This is a landmark in Derbyshire local history - the first volume to be published since 1907. This volume concentrates on parishes in the Bolsover area.

VCH Derbyshire is actively researching and preparing text for inclusion in other 'big red' volumes to be published. Research work is also being undertaken on other north-eastern Derbyshire parishes as well as parishes in the west of the county. In addition work has been undertaken on some southern Derbyshire parishes.
