Colwall and District History Fair 18 June 2016

A day for anyone interested in the history of the parishes to the west of the Malverns and the people who have lived there. VCH Herefordshire is currently researching the history of Colwall, Coddington, Cradley and Mathon. There will be a display about their research so far and an opportunity to share your knolwedge and information about the area. There will also be local history stalls and a local history book stall.


11.00 a.m. Lecture by David Whitehead, ‘Colwall Alehouse and the Civil War’

2.00 p.m. Lecture by Prof. Charles Watkins, ‘Trees and Topography’

Participants: Victoria County History Herefordshire; Colwall Orchard Group; Colwall Village Society; Cradley Local History Group; Herefordshire Family History Society; Malvern Family History Society; Woolhope Club; Woolhope Club (Geology Section)

Drop in anytime between 10.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m to see what is going on. If you have any old photographs or documents you would like to show us, we will have a scanner and computer there on the day, so can take copies immediately.
