In addition to research and writing, VCH staff work to promote local history through membership of local societies and by giving talks and presentations. Talks are given to local societies and occasionally longer courses can be arranged on aspects of Somerset's history or documentary sources. Further information on these, including talks by others on Somerset history, will be found on the News page. If you would like to book a talk or class for your group or have material of historic interest please contact us at VCH@swheritage.org.uk for Somerset or visit our national site www.victoriacountyhistory.ac.uk/counties for contacts in other counties. The VCH needs your support to continue its work both in person, in print and on-line.
