VOLUNTEERING

Display of Somerset VCH work

There are often opportunities for volunteers to contribute to the study of Somerset's past. The Somerset Heritage Service currently has over 50 volunteers working on various projects such as transcribing tithe awards and indexing archives. There are also opportunities to volunteer at the Museum of Somerset: museumofsomerset@swheritage.org.uk

New projects looking for volunteers will be advertised on this page as soon as information becomes available.

VCH Volunteers

Several volunteers are working on archive research for the Taunton area, so we cannot mange any more at present.

Expert help with architectural work and photography on the current volumes is always welcome.
