Barrington Court chestnut avenues

The Horse Chestnut avenues were planted in the 1920s to line the drive from the Court to a terrace of thatched cottages to the north and that between the farmhouse west and the estate manager’s house, just visible in the far distance. The trees are being felled because of a bleeding canker, which is incurable.
