The Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara, Church Road, St. George, Bristol is in a building built in 1894-95 originally as the St.

Both the church and village of St Germoe, are named after St Germoe, a 5th century Irish saint.

By the early 1700s the wealthy urban élite of Sunderland were complaining that  most pews in Bishopwearmouth were owned by local landowners.

A replacement for the first Independent Chapel at Snodland was begun in the autumn of 1854 and was consecrated on Good Friday, 6 April 1855.
