By donating

The Victoria County History has always relied on the generous financial support provided by interested individuals and institutions, especially those with strong links in their local areas. That support is vital to the whole enterprise. Without it, the VCH would be unable to continue its production of high-quality local history resources in print and on-line, the result of unrivalled research and the superb work of local history volunteers. Find out how you can donate to the VCH and what your contribution will do by clicking here.

Your contribution

You can request that your gift contributes to a specific task (such as research), a particular programme (such as training), or to starting work in an individual county, town or, where possible, parish. If you are interested in a particular aspect of VCH work, the Executive Editor, Elizabeth Williamson, would be please to discuss how your gift could help develop it.; 020 7862 8777.

By volunteering

Since it was founded, the VCH has benefited from research contributed by local historians and specialists who have given their time and the results of their work without payment. Our Heritage Lottery-funded England's Past for Everyone project involved many more people in research for our publications. We continue to invite new volunteers to help us, and to train them to write VCH parish and urban histories and for our Explore website. Find out how to volunteer here.
